McDonald’s Sweet & Sour Dipping Sauce

Serves/Makes: ¾ cup

 

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp light corn syrup

1/8 Tsp garlic powder

¼ Tsp salt

½ yellow mustard

½ Tsp soy sauce

1 ½ Tsp cornstarch

5 Tsp white vinegar

¼ c apricot preserves

¼ c peach preserves

2 Tbsp water

 

Procedure:

1. Mix all the ingredients (excluding water) in a blender or a food processor. Puree the mixture until it turns smooth.

2. Transfer the mixture to a saucepan (small). Make sure the oven is on moderate heat. Then, pour the water and stir.

3. Bring to boil and just let it boil for about 5 minutes while stirring the mixture constantly. Wait for the mixture to thicken.

4. Once the mixture thickened, take it off the heat and allow it to cool.

5. Transfer the sauce to a covered container and store it in the fridge.
