Uno’s Pizzeria Recipe

Serves: 4

 

Ingredients:

2 Packages Yeast

2 Cups -Tepid water

1/2 Cup Salad oil

4 Tablespoons Olive oil

3 Cups Flour

1/2 Cup Cornmeal; I think this is the secret

2 Teaspoons -salt; Frugal Gourmet does not have salt in dough

2 1/2 Cups Flour Sauce

2 Cans Plum tomatoes 28 ounce; drained; crushed; drained

1 Mozzarella; to taste

1 Pinch -salt; ground pepper

1 -garlic; chopped; to taste

1 Basil; fresh; chopped

1 Oregano; fresh; chopped

1 Meat; choice

1 Onion; etc; choice

1 Parmesan; to taste

1 Romano cheese; to taste

 

Procedure:

1. Combine 2 packs of yeast in tepid water (2 cups). Let the yeast sit for about 10 minutes. Put half cup of salad oil.

Uno’s Deep Pan Pizza

Serves: 4

 

Ingredients:

CRUST:

½ cup coarse ground cornmeal

¼ cup vegetable oil

1 cup warm tap water

3 and ½ cup flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon active dry yeast

 

FILLING:

1 can whole tomatoes (drained and crushed coarsely)

4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

3 teaspoons dried Oregano (you can also use 5 fresh shredded basil leaves)

1 pound sausage (removed from cover and crumbled)

1 pound sliced mozzarella

2 cups peeled and minced cloves

 

 

 Procedure:

1. Transfer warm water to a large-size mixing bowl. Using a fork, dissolve the yeast in the warm water.

2. Put a cup of flour, vegetable oil, salt and the entire cornmeal. Combine thoroughly using a spoon. Keep on stirring the mixture in the remaining flour, half cup at a time, and wait until the dough goes away from the bowl’s sides.
