Roadhouse Grill Roadhouse Cheese Wraps
You’ll stumble on this original scrumptious Roadhouse Grill signature dish in the menu’s starters section. This popular dish is a variation on the fried cheese sticks with added spicy jalapenos at the center. All these are wrapped up in big spring roll wrappers prior to frying them. You can also use the marinara sauce as a dip for this delicious cheesy treat! And, if you want to save time, you can just simply use any marinara pasta sauces that you like (like Ragu).
Serves: 2
Ingredients:
1 egg (beaten)
4 spring roll wrappers (large)
6-10 c vegetable oil
8 slices cheddar cheese
8 slices of Monterey Jack cheese
1 Tsp fresh chives (minced)
1 seeded and diced jalapeno pepper
ON THE SIDE:
Marinara sauce
Procedure:
1. Cut the Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses into 8 thin slices for each cheese.
2. Assemble 2 cheddar cheese slices and 2 jack cheese slices on your hand. Then, drizzle about a teaspoon of jalapeno (diced) over the cheese. Afterwards, sprinkle a quarter teaspoon of chives (minced). Then, sandwich the chives and peppers in between the cheese and roll it. Fold the cheese then press them all together to make sure that the chives and peppers are sealed very well into the center of the cheeses.
