John Robinson and Joseph Gilbert decided to open their own restaurant in the Country Club Plaza at Kansas City, Missouri. But, they needed a name. To make things easy, the two restaurateurs decided to keep the previous name of the location. The previous owner of the location is called Houlihan’s Men’s Wear. And, that’s when Houlihan’s Old Place began back in 1972. Around this time, T.G.I. Friday’s was promoting casual dining. This made the concept an immediate success. Houlihan’s success paved the way for more Houlihan’s store in other states in America. This is when Houlihan’s multi-million dollar restaurant chain started. One of the restaurant’s famous drinks is the Houli Fruit Frizz. This popular drink is a plain blend of Sprite and fruit juices. You can easily enjoy this drink on its own or it can be served with other famous Houlihan’s famous dishes. This Houli Fruit Fizz is one of Houlihan’s signature and classic recipes.
